Her interest in Scandinavian culture and design led her to a wide range of experiences, including a short-term study abroad program in Sweden, selling Scandinavian furniture, and working as an interpreter at a film festival.

2015: A Transformative Nordic Experience

Sustainability and Fieldwork in Sweden

In the summer of 2015, I participated in a short-term study abroad program organized by the NGO Re-Learn on the island of Gotland, where I learned about sustainability and permaculture. In addition to conducting fieldwork, the program also involved visiting various parts of Sweden, including Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Malmö, and Stockholm, deepening my understanding of Nordic culture.

2019: Exploring Nordic Vintage and Design

ACTUS and Copenhagen Stay

Since 2019, she has been selling Scandinavian vintage furniture and plant goods at ACTUS (SLOWHOUSE). While studying the simple and warm Scandinavian design, she also spent time in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she experienced the depth of design and culture.

2020: Nordic Storytelling in Film

Tokyo Northern Lights Festival Interpreter

In 2020, I was in charge of accompanying and interpreting for the director when he visited Japan for the Tokyo Northern Lights Festival, which showcases Nordic films. This was an opportunity to further broaden my cultural perspective by experiencing Nordic storytelling and filmmaking values.

2023: Award-Winning HYGGE Design

Graduation Project at Machida Hiroko Academy

For her graduation project at Machida Hiroko Academy, she proposed an interior design based on the Scandinavian theme of "HYGGE." This proposal, which emphasized comfort and simplicity, won the top prize in the class competition and was presented at Aoyama Women's Plaza.
