issue 2 "Where is the Center of Tokyo?"

[Tama New Town x Sports Business x Globalism]

The person we spoke to this time was Yuta Tanaka, who has worked for major foreign IT companies and is currently in charge of launching new businesses.
Despite his busy schedule, he is also energetically active in many areas, including serving as the owner of a hidden bar called "square one" in Yoyogi, in addition to his main job.

His career path sounds impressive, but it was by no means a smooth one.
He faced the language barrier and the gap with those around him. He never gave in to adversity that would normally make most people give up, but instead pulled himself together to seize his dream. Behind this was the logic that was imprinted in him through soccer as a child, and the example of his father, who was a professional at the forefront of the industry and active internationally.

Born and raised in Tama New Town, he said goodbye to the days of devoting himself to soccer from morning till night and entered the world of sports business. After traveling around the world, he finally arrived in Tokyo. This interview covers his long journey.

issue3 "In Between Architecture and Art"

[Meguro x Art x Architecture]

The person we spoke to this time was Abe Taeko, who has three roles: architect, artist, and teacher.
After graduating from graduate school, she worked on numerous projects at a renowned architectural firm in Tokyo, and currently works as an artist with a knitting concept, while also working on private projects and teaching architecture.

The concept is "YOU ARE MY KNIT." In Japanese, the word "knit" means to combine different materials to create something new, to edit, and to plan. It evokes memories of the days when people made a living from knitting. Perhaps knitting is a symbol of hope that can help you in times of need.

Her creative base is Tokyo. Born and raised in Meguro, she eventually moved to Matsudo, but Tokyo remains a special place for her. It remains her one and only "hometown in the heart," both now and in the past.

We have collected together her memories of her father, her university life, and the trajectory of "Tokyo" that has quietly woven itself like KNIT through her career path as an architect and artist, and recorded it as a special interview.
